A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us for our exclusive Brookdale Wine Tasting Dinner. It was an unforgettable evening of flavour, music, and connection, with each course beautifully paired to highlight the elegance of Brookdale’s wines.
The night began with an aperitif, as guests sipped the refreshing Mason Road Serendipity Rosé to set the tone for the experience ahead.
The first course featured a Tuscan Beef Tagliata with Arugula, perfectly matched with the Brookdale Old Vine Chenin Blanc and Mason Road Chenin Blanc.
For the second course, a delicate selection of seafood in a Mauritian-inspired coriander and coconut sauce was paired with the vibrant Brookdale Sixteen Field Blend.
The third course brought richness to the table with Fettuccine in a Creamy Saffron Sauce with Shiitake Mushrooms, Basil Oil & Parmesan, complemented by the refined Brookdale Bradbourne White Blend.
Moving into the heartier flavours, the fourth course showcased Slow Roast Duck with Blueberry & Green Peppercorn Sauce, Truffle Mash & Crispy Zucchini Stack, paired with the bold Mason Road Syrah.
The fifth course presented Venison Dijonnaise with Potato & Vegetable Rosti, alongside the elegant Mason Road GSM Red.
Finally, the sixth course closed the evening on a sweet note—Macerated Strawberries with Chocolate Truffle, harmoniously paired with the Brookdale Twenty Field Blend.
The soulful sounds of Roy the Songster carried through the evening, adding warmth and vibrance to the fine dining experience.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Lilayi Lodge team, whose hospitality set the tone for the night, and especially to our talented chefs, who curated such an inspired menu. A special thank you also goes to Brookdale’s winemakers, Xander Sadie, and Tim Rudd, for sharing their passion, expertise, and remarkable wines with us.
