The Lilayi Birding Experience offers a chance to slow down and tune into the rhythms of the bush. With over 200 bird species recorded on our 650-hectare private reserve, there’s always something to spot—whether it’s the flash of a little bee-eater darting past or the distinctive silhouette of a fork-tailed drongo perched above the trail. Crowned hornbills, striped kingfishers, and dozens of other species make this landscape their home, filling the air with movement and sound.
Guided walks take guests through a variety of habitats; each with its own birding highlights depending on the time of year. It’s a quiet, focused way to experience the reserve, and is perfect for seasoned birders and curious beginners.
